Christmas Cocktails a bit different: Mānuka Honey cocktails for the party season

Christmas Cocktails a bit different: Mānuka Honey cocktails for the party season

Shorter days means longer nights, and more time to socialise with fantastic and festive cocktails. We’re all about slipping health benefits into every day, so of course we had to put together a list of our favourite Mānuka Honey cocktails for the party season made with Melora’s flavoursome Manuka honey.

The Penicillin

It’s Friday night, and you need something stiff to kick start the weekend - look no further. You’ll need a teaspoon of grated fresh ginger, a teaspoon of Mānuka honey, a tablespoon of lemon juice, and 200ml of your favourite whiskey. Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice and shake away your troubles. Not only is this cheeky number absolutely scrumptious, the antimicrobial and soothing nature of the honey and ginger will kick any niggly sore throat to the curb and leave you ready to party!

Bourbon Chai Latte

Perfect for those chilly afternoon outings, mix up a warming and deliciously decadent bourbon chai latte to take with you. Steep two chai tea bags in a saucepan of simmering milk for ten minutes and add a generous teaspoon of Melora Mānuka honey. Top with a shot of your favourite smokey bourbon, and a sprinkle of nutmeg, and you’re good to go.

Tequila Hot Toddy

We absolutely adore the wintery and warming spices of a chai tea and pairing it with a woody and botanical tequila makes for one fantastic festive cocktail. In a heat safe glass, steep a bag of chai tea for 3-4 minutes. Stir in a teaspoon of Mānuka honey, and top with a dash of fresh orange juice. Lastly, add a generous tipple of tequila for a simple, but impressive winter cocktail.
